In Celebration of

Maddalena Maria Fraresso

December 5, 1934 -  April 14, 2021

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Maddalena Maria Fraresso at the age 86 from her long fought battle with several cancers. Leaving behind her three children Tina, Carla and Stephen and her only granddaughter Danika. As well as her Niece Mirna De Simon, her nephew Marco De Simon and family who still reside in her hometown of Osoppo, Udine, Italy.

Maddalena immigrated to Canada from Italy at the age of 25 with her late husband Carducci DeCecco. She faced many adversities with Carducci’s sudden death while pregnant with her second daughter, Carla. However, God put Alfonso Fraresso on her path and in 1968, she married him. They celebrated well over 40 years of marriage and happiness together.

She will be remembered by her strong will, her feisty character and her undying love for her family as well as the Toronto Raptors.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to any Canadian Cancer Association or charity of your choice, or to the Dorothy Ley Hospice Centre in Etobicoke.

A private ceremony will be held with plans for a Celebration of Life at a later date, once the restrictions are lifted.
