In Celebration of

Lydia Gordon

March 13, 1946 -  May 26, 2022

Peacefully, on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the family home in Oakville, at the age of 76.

Loving mother of David Williams. Loving wife of the late Larry Gordon. Dear sister of the late Elizabeth "Liz" Layfield and the late Roberta "Bobbie" Searle. Beloved daughter of the late Albert Robert "Bob" Davis and the late Elizabeth Davis (MacLaren). Lydia was much loved and will be greatly missed by her niece and nephews.

Lydia was a kind and caring person, with a loving heart and good sense of humour. She loved time with family, nature, gardening, their precious dogs and enjoyed travel and meeting wonderful new friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Lydia to the Mississauga Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

Precious memories live on in our hearts!

Our deepest sympathy to Lydia's family. Both Larry and Lydia were dear friends of my late husband Richard and I when we lived in Mississauga. Both so kind and Lydia such a gentle and loving nature. Our prayers are with you at this sad time. Angela Matthewman and Tom Haigh.

Ohhh the memories I have as a child with Lydia. My parents and Lydia and Larry were great fiends for years and I have such fond memories of all the Christmas and New Years parties and anniversary celebrations. Always such a loving soul and I know my mom will miss her very much but I’m sure Larry and my dad are up there to greet her.

I met Lydia and Larry through my partner, Ron Ellis. I was a bit nervous knowing that Ron had a long history with them. Larry was Ron’s late wife’s brother. We hit it off immediately. I enjoyed listening to Ron and Larry complain about the government, taxes and past adventures. Lydia and I connected but who couldn’t love her? Just an incredible woman. I absolutely loved that they were still so much in love! I found both to be very inspiring. Although it was short for me, I will cherish the memories. Have fun in heaven. ❤️❤️

We loved aunt Lydia, and the time we got to spend with her, enjoying English teas, going to the pubs for English fair, and family get together‘s will leave precious memories which we will cherish forever. Her strength of character, especially at the end, has left us to realize what a strong willed woman she certainly was, which helped us to appreciate the value of spending time with our loved ones, and cherishing each moment
