Born October 30th, 1937 Glace Bay, Nova Scotia

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, Lucy, on December 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, Rose, Louise and Val, Lorraine and Mike, Debra and Yopie, and her cherished grandchildren Alexander, Sebastian & Jenna, Owen, Olivia and Ethan. Lucy is also lovingly remembered by her sister Pearl St. Peter, her many nieces and nephews, her wonderful friends in her building, and The English Club. Lucy is remembered by her son Michael and Carolee, and her grandchildren Rachel and Austin.

A woman of boundless love and energy, who loved to dance. Lucy brightened any room with her sunny outlook on life, quick wit, warm smile and kind spirit. She lived her life with deep love, compassion, and an enthusiasm that was contagious to all who knew her. Her heart was as generous as her sense of humour, and she had an incredible way of making everyone feel valued, whether through a simple chat or a shared moment of laughter.

Having recently celebrated a joyful family Christmas, surrounded by those she held most dear, Lucy passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and the many memories she created with her family and friends. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the light she brought to our lives will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.

It is so hard to believe that Lucy has slipped away. She was so full of life on Christmas Day. I had left the dinner table as many people continued to talk. I was missing Tom badly. She must have noticed me and she came over and sat beside me and put her arms around. She knew what was happening. She had been there. And , now, so quickly we are grieving her.

Sincerest condolences to all grieving the wonderful and vibrant, Lucy. The last time I saw her was at one of Mike and Lorraine’s epic Xmas parties where Lucy was a total star. She was hilarious, switched on and so welcoming - just like her daughters. XO Laurie and Stu

Such a fun loving aunt. Always made me feel welcome and part of our large family. Love you and uncle Fred very much even though time and distance kept our time together at a minimum. RIP aunt Lucy.

Aunt Lucy is/was an amazing woman who taught me so much just by example. And that warm smile and quick to laugh attitude always made me do the same. Her words of wisdom and insight will always remain in my head and heart. Love you always and forever 💖💖💖
