Born in Toronto to Hungarian immigrants, Louis Kovacs Sr. and Emmy Halas, Louis passed away in his Mississauga home in his 87th year. The middle of three sons, Louis was married for 40 years to Carol Lundy (nee Black) and they had six children: Sandy (Andy), Michael (Mary), Stephen, Jacqueline (Patrick), Duff (Viktoriya) and Shane (Valerie); 17 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Always an independent thinker, Louis was passionate with the pursuit of natural health remedies and gardening. He was always very proud of his Hungarian roots and the emigration of his parents to Canada and cherished his memories of Georgian Bay. Louis took great pride in his children and grandchildren and would talk about them often. We welcome you to the visitation which will be held at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Wednesday, September 6, from 6pm - 9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10 am. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Reception to be announced.
