In Celebration of

Mary Lorna Annette Parker (nee Doran)

February 6, 1930 -  December 14, 2022

With sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Lorna. Beloved wife of the late Donald Parker, she now joins him in eternal life. Cherished Mother to Stacey (Rick), Kerri (Michael) and Ric (Christine). Adoring Grandmother to Adam, Matthew, Alexis and Brendan. Great-Grandmother to Jazmyn and Zahra.

Lorna’s zest for life was infectious and she had a long full life surrounded by many friends. Special thanks to the staff at Humber Heights Long Term Care who made her last couple of years comfortable and as happy as they could be.

Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3055 Bloor St. W. Etobicoke at 11:00AM Saturday, January 21, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations in her honour to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.

Reception to follow.

My dear cousin Lorna was my second mother who took me in when my mother was in the psych ward. Because of her I transferred to a new school where I met my future husband Martyn. Because of her I was able to pursue a life in the arts. Because of her I learned many valuable lessons: how to make a proper scotch and soda, change diapers, make cheese dreams, and how NOT to dress, ie “You look like a refugee from Santa Maria house, Suz!” Love you always Lorna!

I have such fond memories of visiting Lorna when Kerri and I were young and single and loving a homemade meal and a chat. She was warm, welcoming, and classy. May she rest in peace.
