In Celebration of

Lori Brown

September 25, 1964 - February 10, 2019

With great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished daughter Lori on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in her 55th year. Lori fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. She leaves her loving parents Pat and Ron of London and her sister Lisa and her husband Adam of Vancouver. Fondly remembered by all her family, friends and colleagues. Lori was a dedicated Nurse Practitioner and Coordinator at Trillium Health Partners for a number of years. Her care and compassion for what she did was evident every day. She will be truly missed.

A Celebration of Lori’s Life will be held at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 11a.m. followed by a reception. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

To Lori’s family, my sincere sympathy at the loss of such a warm, bright and compassionate soul. Lori always made us laugh, through thick and thin times to times where good ideas just flowed. She was in the centre of so much, contributed always, kept patients at the heart of what we did and never let us forget why we were sitting through all those terribly long meetings! She had just a wicked sense of humour with the most insightful “comebacks” I’ve ever heard! Today I am remembering her in that way.
If heaven does exist, I know she is there organizing the space, and making sure everyone/everything is being taken care of - even if she has to “eyeball” a few or whip them into shape with a few humorous side comments!
She was a special someone and a person who had the admiration, respect and friendship of many. The light that Lori brought into our work life is dimmed but the memories and gifts she gave each of us are forever here and live on. She blessed us with herself and I am so grateful for having known her.
