In Celebration of
Lolita Villanueva
July 4, 1948 -
April 5, 2024
Born in San Pablo, Santo Tomas, Batangas, Philippines on July 4, 1948, and immigrated to Toronto in 1981 to take care of her two nephews, Pierre Alvin Villanueva and Jason Jay Villanueva.
She passed away at Cawthra Gardens Long-Term Care Residence, 590 Lolita Gardens, Mississauga, Ontario on April 5, 2024 due to Cardiac Arrest.
Lolita was the beloved sister to Sofio (Lucy) of Mississauga, Rebecca (Tony) and Bayani (Tessie) both of the Philippines, and was pre-deceased by her sisters Catalina (Deogracias) and Rosita (Rafael) both of the Philippines.
Although she remained single, she will be missed by her 9 nephews, 6 nieces, 11 grandnieces and 4 grandnephews.
When Alvin and Jay were old enough to fend for themselves, Lolita started working at Manulife, taking part-time jobs whenever she could juggle her hours. Even after she stopped working, she continued to provide guidance and counsel to her family members, splitting her time living between Canada and the Philippines. She was proud to help the least fortunate in her family and happily shared whatever she earned without thinking of her own-self.
