In Celebration of

Lois Toma

October 19, 1929 -  August 23, 2024

It is with great love and much sadness that we share the passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother Lois, at the age of 94, on Friday August 23, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving children.

Beloved wife of her late husband John Toma, she will be lovingly remembered by her children Steven (Wendy), Sandra (Jeff) and Debra, her grandchildren Mathew (Kelly), Brianne (Curtis), Tyler (Meghan) and Darby (Giancarlo), and her great-grandchildren Jordan, Charlotte and Braxton.

She was strong willed and despite enduring numerous health hardships, she always overcame them, never losing her strength and independence. We will remember her love of tending to her beautiful gardens, lots of shared cups of tea, her amazing curiosity about life and interest in what was happening in the world, and her love of sharing it with her family. She was a wonderful mother and we thank her for always being there for us.

Her family and friends will forever hold fond memories of her energetic spirit, her laughter and her love of life. She loved having friends and family around her and always made everyone feel welcome.

Visitation to be held on at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 11-12 p.m. Chapel service to begin at noon, with reception to follow. Donations in memory of Lois can be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or Canadian Lung Association.

Dear Aunt Louis was always happy, always smiling, always welcoming and just a joy to be with. From our earliest memories, she has always been there, right up to our many yearly Lebanese dinners with her in Mississauga. Your passing brings us to the end of an era, God bless you and be with you to eternity.
