Passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Lindsay beloved wife of Richard, dearest sister of Kathryn (Jim), much loved aunt of Diane (Ian) and Peggy (Steve) and loving grand aunt to Jonathan.
Born in St. Andrew, Jamaica to Egerton and Phyllis Surridge. In her youth, she immigrated to Canada with her family. After graduating high school, she became a dedicated and compassionate nurse and worked at several Toronto hospitals until her retirement.

Lindsay was devoted to her family. Her unwavering love and support have been a constant comfort to us all and she will be greatly missed by those who knew, loved and cherished her. She will always be in our hearts.
The family thanks all who helped to keep her at home, as she wished. Your care and compassion have been tremendously appreciated.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, part of us went with you the day God called you home.

Friends may call Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto) Friday, August 9th at 10 am until time of Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery (2845 Bloor Street West, Toronto)

It is with great sadness that Lin has passed.
Richard, Gail and I are understanding your grief and pain at this time but with all that you have gone through in the last little while, Lin has left us for a better place and she is finally at peace.
She will always be remembered by our family and we are sure you will have lots of loving memories of her.
