In Celebration of

Linda Hall

July 12, 1950 -  January 6, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death of Linda Anne Cannell Hall at her home on January 6, 2022 at the age of 71. She is now at peace and home with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband of 48 years Bruce Allen Hall, her sister and best friend Nancy (Cannell Grice) Kyle and Mimsey the family cat. Also many cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents Gwen Annie and David Arthur Cannell and her step father Graham Coulter Greaves. A faithful committed Christian who attended Mimico Baptist Church. She served the Lord with gladness. Her faith was evident in her caring and compassionate heart. She loved to sing and was involved in the church choir, her most recent position was on the board as a director. She will be missed by her church family. Because of Covid restrictions, private family internment will take place. Our hope is to have a Celebration of Life service in February.
Jesus said to her "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die , yet shall he live." Till we meet again. Donations to Mimico Baptist Church Building Fund, 80 Hillside Ave. Toronto (mimicobaptist.ca) or Hope and Healing International, 2600 16th Avenue, Unit 1, Richmond Hill, Ontario (hopeandhealing.org) please direct your donation to Healing Bodies, Healing Hearts.

Linda will be missed for her wisdom, wit and dedicated service. She was a mover in our efforts to make our church accessible. She sang in the choir contributing to our worship. She served on our council and board. She was an incredible wife to Bruce and sister to Nancy. She was an organiser and facilitator. Miss her already. Her faith is our hope.

We are all still in shock - I know I am. I was so blessed to know Linda and call her my friend.. We served together on Church Council, Hospitality Group, and Choir - we were the two altos most of the time. She read music and I didn't so I would tell her to sing loud towards me so I could pick up some of the notes I might miss.
Many times I would call her to "run ideas by her" - I so respected her opinion and any counsel she might give me.
These are just a few thoughts when I think of Linda and they don't do her justice - there's so much more!
Linda was a real blessing to me - to all of us and I'm just grateful to have known her - will never forget her!

I will remember Linda as being incredibly kind, generous, thoughtful, and wise. She was also a good listener-so tuned in to what you had to say, and affirmed, never judged. It was a privilege to know her, she was like a ray of sunshine. She will always be in my heart.
