In Celebration of

Linda Gail Wray

December 3, 1944 -  April 1, 2025

Linda Gail Wray (nee Douglas) passed away on April 1, 2025, at Wellbrook Place in Mississauga, Ontario. She was born on December 3, 1944, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she spent her early years. In 1966, Linda moved to Toronto where she began a four-decade-long career in banking and investments management. Toronto became her beloved home and the place where she built her life and career.

Linda was predeceased by her father, William Ian Douglas (1975), her mother, Sylvia Maxwell (1979), and her cherished husband, Terry Wray (2006).

She is survived and will be deeply missed by her brother, William (Jeanne), her niece Laurel (Bill), and her nephews Paul (Gigi) and Ian (Meagan), along with five great-nieces and four great-nephews. She spread her love and shared her laughter with all of her Douglas/Wray family.

Linda is lovingly remembered by her stepchildren, Terry (Lori) and Debbie (Dan), and her grandchildren: Kinnon (Melissa), Brayden (Reid), and Shannon (Carl). She was also a proud great-grandmother to Masis. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews from the Wray family - Robert, Jackie, Reg, John, Melissa, Joanne, Leslie and Cheryl-Anne, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who will remember her warmth, grace and strength.

Linda will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local SPCA in memory of Linda's support and love for her dogs.

A Celebration of Life will be held and the date announced later.

Always had a laugh each time I visited Linda and the most recent was a couple of weeks ago. Many memories to remember. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.

"Aunt Linda's" quick wit, charm and legendary dinners will be fondly remembered by members of the Wray family that had the good fortune to gather together with her on many special occasions.
Her memory will live on, in the years to follow, when we reminisce on some of her lively and most often comical exchanges and events shared together with her and one to one.
Her presence will be greatly missed but we are grateful for her peace in a life well lived.

My dear friend Linda, it’s your time to rest easy now. Your valiant struggle every day is over. After some 40 years of knowing you it will be very hard to let you go, not only for me but for all of us who knew you, especially your Family and friends.
I met Linda working at Dominion Securities and then again at RBC Capital Markets. We shared the ups and downs of our working lives, the losses of our loved ones and 911.
Linda and I went numerous times travelling to Europe together on Trafalgar tours to see how much of Europe we could get in. It was beautiful, enriching and memorable.
Memories I will cherish forever. The last trip we took was to Spain & Portugal in 2017, we had another dear friend Irene come along with us. Needless to say our trip was wonderful.
Unbeknown to us, this would be our last trip together.
Linda you can peacefully sleep now, I will miss you so much and so will my family, it is such a big loss for us. We won’t ever forget you, or your marvellous wit, your funny short one liners, your humour and your serious side and of course your booming loud voice when you wanted something done super quickly.
It was an honour knowing and learning from you. Thank you so very much for all you did. You won’t be forgotten my dear friend.
Our deepest condolences to the Wray Family.
Much Love
Irene, Tony, Joe, Sara , Ella, Lucas, Michelle & Savanna Tabone
