Lilo "Lotte" Timp

September 4, 1926 - August 14, 2023

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of a special family member, very dear to our hearts. Lilo passed away peacefully on Monday August 14, 2023 at Etobicoke General Hospital in Toronto, Ontario.
Lilo was predeceased by her loving husband Guenther and her siblings Erna Buttgereit, Wilhelm Beck, Fritz Beck, Karl-Heinz Beck, Hans Beck, Andy Beck and niece Connie Whalen.

Leaving to mourn are her sister Gretchen Ockenfelds in Germany and Lilo's many nieces and nephews; Monica Talbot, Denise Beck, Gabi Ockenfelds, Michelle Beck, Klaus Beck, R. Peter Beck, Ruediger Beck, Rainer Ockenfelds, Ralf Ockenfelds, Peter A. Beck, Michael Nolte and many other extended family and friends.

Lilo retired from a long and fulfilling career with Manulife in Toronto, she was an active member of the Martin Grove Tennis club, where she continued to play tennis well into her 80's. She touched many lives and hearts and will be sadly missed by all.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will follow, with those arrangements to be announced at a later date.

Tante Lilo,

I will miss you dearly! I treasure the many wonderful memories we made during our visits. I am saddened that we won’t be able to sit together and take memory walks through your photo albums. I loved doing that with you and hearing all your wonderful stories. I will forever hear your beautiful laughter and cheery greetings when I think of you! I love you so much and appreciate how special you made my engagement to Peter. I am so glad we got to share that special event with you and Joe. Fly high and rest in peace.

Lilo was one of the sweetest kindest people I knew in my life! I don't remember her ever making an unkind remark to any of us, for any reason!

She was a beautiful person; inside and out, and she will forever have a big place in my heart ❤️, as did my father; Karl (one of Lilo's closest siblings) who passed at the age of 76.

They were both exceptional people who made a positive impact on the world, as will my son Jayden, who I am hoping will follow in their footsteps and contribute even more...
