Even as a little girl, Lillian was a caregiver and a nurse at heart. Her father in particular took great pride in her pursuit of a nursing career. In her childhood she helped care for siblings and worked the family farm. Exposure to TB prevented her from becoming an RN but it did not her stop her from becoming a nurse. She achieved her RNA status and found her calling taking care of the elderly with compassion and dignity.
On a beautiful cool and sunny fall day she went home to be with the Lord. Her children Bruce and Linda both were there on October 14th surrounding their mother with love. And in her last moments her hand was held as she listened to First Corinthians.

At 93 Lillian had touched many lives. She overcame several illnesses and hardship but also experienced great love and joy of family and friends. She was sweet and dedicated in her faith in the Brethren. She loved the Lord.

Lillian Grace Stewart was born September 2, 1927 in Morewood, Ontario and was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Arthur L. Ferguson a former Captain in the Canadian Military. She was predeceased by 10 of her 11 siblings.

Lillian is survived by her son Bruce Ferguson and daughter Linda Gibson, son-in-law Owen Gibson, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one remaining brother Arnold.
