Leslie Allan Nethersole

May 25, 1936 -  November 4, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Leslie Allan Nethersole announces his passing on Monday, November 4, 2024. He died peacefully surrounded by his family.

Leslie was born in Kingston, Jamaica in 1936. In 1967, accompanied by his wife, Phyllis, and two children, Taynia and Kurt, he emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He built a life filled with family, friends and cherished memories.

Leslie and Phyllis were married for 65 years. Their marriage was a true loving partnership, and they rarely spent time apart. Upon their retirement in 1996, they travelled extensively, spending at least two months of the year in Jamaica, the land of their birth.

Leslie was a proud and supportive father to his children; Taynia, Kurt and daughter-in-law Renee, and a beloved “Grampy” to his four grandchildren: Julia, Matthew, Hayley and Angela. He was devoted to his family: his brothers; Clive (dec’d) and Paul; sisters Madge and Joy and sister-in-law, Kim. He was a beloved Uncle to his nieces and nephew and a caring a loving cousin. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones, a testament to a life well lived.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter ‘Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of QEW) on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 2-3 PM followed by the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3 PM.
