It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonie Attard (née Stoat) on Wednesday October 29, 2025. She passed away peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, at the age of 89.

Born in Limerick, Ireland, she spent her formative years between Limerick and Dublin. In 1960, she travelled across the pond to North America, spending some time in New York City before calling Canada her home.

Beloved wife of her late husband, Gerald for 60 years. Loving mother of David (Edith Kavai), Thérèse, and Paul (Anna). Adored nana to Kaitlin, Megan, Allison and Joelle. She will be forever in our hearts.

We would like to thank all those who gave Leonie such wonderful care at the end of her life: her last days were comfortable, contented and surrounded by love.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Monday, November 3rd from 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church, 625 Atwater Ave., Mississauga, on Tuesday, November 4th, 2025 at 11 am followed by interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
