With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Leonas Stosiunas on Friday, September 2, 2022 at the age of 99. Leo was predeceased by his loving wife (Danute), daughter (Ruta) and grandson (Christopher). Leo was born in Dzenkuniskes Lithuania. The eldest of 5 children he immigrated to Canada in 1949. After working in the mines in Timmins for 2 years, he moved to Toronto where he married his wife Danute. He leaves behind his daughter Birute (Larry) and granddaughter (Julija).

Leo embraced Canadian life and continued to be proud of his Lithuanian heritage and culture. He had a very active life. His hobbies included photography, art and playing the accordion. An avid sportsman, he hunted and fished into his late 80’s, but downhill skiing was his passion. He lived his life to the fullest on his own terms.
