Passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at Wesburn Manor Long Term Care, Etobicoke at the age of 96. Devoted and loving husband of Barbara (nee Clerk) for 66 years. Cherished father of Brian (predeceased), Patricia (Charles Minz) and Yvonne (Steven Parr). Proud grandfather of Ryan and Keira Parr.

Leonard was a skilled Class A machinist at Stelco, The Steel Company of Canada, Swansea, Etobicoke where he worked for 35 years.

Leonard was a craftsman, devoting his stills to carpentry, woodworking, folk art, and gardening. Leonard donated his time to St George’s creating beautiful pieces – the Tabernacle on the Lady Alter to house the Communion Wafers and Wine, and the Icon stand that holds the religious icon picture of Jesus and Stole. Leonard leaves behind his legacy in St George’s.

The Family will be receiving guests on Thursday, August 17th at Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral celebrating Leonard’s life will be Friday, August 18th, at St. George’s Church on the Hill, 4600 Dundas St. West, Etobicoke, at 11:00 am with a visitation at 10:30 am. The internment will take place immediately following the service in the St. George’s Churchyard. A reception will follow at the Church.
