Leonard Abbott

September 15, 1951 - August 26, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Len Abbott on August 26, 2021, in Mississauga, Ontario.

Len was a devoted husband to Rita for 45 years. Loving father of Melissa (Shawn) and Lenny and was adored by his granddaughters Ashlynn and Mya. He will be greatly missed by his siblings Rosalind (Bob), Eugene (Shirley), Rose Marie (Don) and Paul. Len rests in peace with parents Edward and Dorothy, his sisters Janet Elizabeth and Loretta and his much-loved grandfather Brendan.

Len had the nicest smile and the talent of making everyone laugh. He was always kind and welcoming. He loved being surrounded by family, especially his granddaughters. He was a devoted employee of Wakefield for 32 years and will be missed greatly by his coworkers.

A memorial visitation will be held at Turner and Porter Neweduk Chapel (1981 Dundas Street West), Mississauga on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 2-4 pm.

I am so very sad to hear of the passing of Poppy. He was always so kind whenever he came to pick Ashlynn or Mya from school. The girls adored him and I know his loss will run deep in your family. To Nanny (Rita) my thoughts and prayers are with you.
