In Celebration of

Leila Farah

January 17, 1928 -  January 22, 2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Leila Saleem Farah. Preceded by her husband the late Rev. Canon Shafik Farah. A loving person for all who knew her, a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She departed on January 22, 2024 at the age of 96. She was born in Haifa, Palestine on January 17, 1928.

Leila will be greatly missed by her children, Wafa (David), Sana (Doug), Reema (Reg), Peter Najeeb (Carmen Maha); her cherished grandchildren, Leila, Nada, Karen, Gavin, Peter, John, Daniel, Amanda, Laura, Ramsey, and Raniya; her great grandchildren, Keileigh, Mackenzie, Bethany, Myles, Scarlett, Dahlia, Azalia, Shayan, and Juliette; by her siblings, Bahia, and Fouad; nieces and nephews and friends in Canada and Palestine.

Leila will be remembered for her beautiful smile, quiet strength, gentle demeanor, and an open loving heart for all.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Leila's memory to Trillium Health Partners would be appreciated by the family.

A tiny woman with a backbone of steel and a heart of gold. So honoured to have been able to spend time with her, and to have been able to call her "friend".

My love to all of you, as you learn how to navigate the world without her alongside you.
