In Celebration of

Laura Kennedy

May 10, 1925 -  July 12, 2022

Mom has joined Dad and set sail for their eternal sailing adventure. They’ve cast off the lines, trimmed the sails, and have headed for clear skies and smooth seas.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Laura immigrated to Canada with husband Bill and settled in Etobicoke. She was a devoted Mom to John (Cathy) and Bill (Lori), loving Granny to Dan (Lisa), Meredith (Chris), Andrew (Shirin), Emily, and Peter (Emily), and a caring GG to Isla, Deirdre, and Rory.

A sincere thank you to the kind staff at the Village of Tansley Woods in Burlington. You are truly angels and took such great care of our Laura over the past seven years.

Cremation has taken place, and a small funeral service with family will take place at a later date. Donations in lieu of flowers can be sent to Etobicoke Services for seniors.

Condolences to John and Kathy for the loss.
She came across as a great lady. I am sure she is resting in peace.

Laura was a special aunt who I will miss greatly.

She was a very dear sister to my Dad, Stewart. They had a close bond even though the Atlantic separated them for much of their adult lives.

I have fond memories of visits and I always enjoyed receiving her letters sharing news and memories. Aunt Laura and Uncle Bill always made me and my family feel so welcome.

Sending love to our Canadian family,

Jacqueline, Taylor, Emma and Ewan xx

Such a good aunt. She was always so good to me as a boy.

Bill- Our family was so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. It always warmed our hearts to see the two of you in the cafe at Tansley as we were passing through to head upstairs to see our mom. Her smile and gentle way always brought me comfort when I needed it the most.
