In Celebration of

Krystyna Flak

March 28, 1947 -  September 29, 2024

It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of our mom, Krystyna Flak. Cherished Mother of 4, Nanna to 2, Mother-in-Law to 2, Wife of 49 years to the late Janusz, she was surrounded with the love of her family until the very end.

How do you put into words how much your mother's life meant to you? For the Flak family, our mother's spirit was equally balanced with an unwavering commitment to loving us no matter what, and nattering at us to always 'be better' in everything we did. Her hands always held us up and encouraged us to move forward with strength and dignity; her hugs always brought us comfort, joy, and a sense of safety, and her smile was always a beacon expressing her love.

The sweetest and most doting Nanna to her two rascals- neither could do wrong and were spoiled with love every minute of their time together. Mom was gentle and kind. She was fun and valued time with her family above all else. We were so lucky to know unconditional love, overcooked food that was made with love (our mom hated to cook), and party cleaning Saturdays with music and designated cleaning lists.

Krystyna didn't suffer, and for that we are grateful. She is now in heaven with our Dad, her parents, brother, cousins and best friends. May she polka, tango and laugh like never before. Until we meet again Mimzy.

Friends are invited to join the family for a viewing at the Turner & Porter Funeral Home - Neweduk Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2-5 pm.

Funeral Mass on Monday, October 7, 2024 at 11am at St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church, 4260 Cawthra Road, Mississauga.

Sending heartfelt condolences to your family. Your Mom and my family go back to days in Germany/Poland after the War and we met in St. Catherines after your grandparents came to London for a dance many years ago. My Father and your Grandfather shared many memories about the War Times and we used to visit back and forth and I always admired on how your parents loved each other and raised such a beautiful family. I know she will be missed by all because of her beautiful nature and overflowing heart. She always made everyone welcome and even though we will miss her beyond words she will be with her beloved Janusz and family in heaven.
