In Celebration of

Krystyna Bacik

November 28, 1948 -  May 24, 2025

It is with heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of Krystyna at her home on Saturday, May 24, 2025, in her 77th year.

Krystyna was the beloved wife of Walter. Together, they shared a deep love for travel, exploring the world hand in hand and collecting memories from places near and far. Their adventures were a source of joy and storytelling for those lucky enough to listen.

She was a devoted Godmother to Alexis (Howard) and Gillian, and a proud “Gramma Krystyna” to Peter and James. Krystyna will be fondly remembered for her sense of humour and the special way she could bring joy to those around her. Her warmth, kindness, and spirited personality left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was a treasured friend to many and will be deeply missed.

A memorial visitation will be held at Turner & Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W., Toronto on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 6 - 8 p.m.

My heartfelt condolences to Kikki's friends and family! She was truly a kind, and generous friend who will be remembered fondly for her unique thoughtfulness and gentle spirit!

I enjoyed flying with her because Kikki was more than a competent colleague but a supportive friend who would do whatever you needed done to complete the task at hand, all with a smile and stoic determination! I was blessed to have had her delightful company on some memorable layovers in Madrid and Copenhagen!

I'm so sorry to learn that the last few years were marked by illness for both Kikki and her beloved Walter, who was the world to her! How appropriate that the photo in this memorial depicts beautiful Krystyna with Walter's arm around her!
A fond farewell to Kikki, a special friend! May Our Lord grant you peaceful repose and Life Eternal!

I’d like to share a few words about my dear friend Krystyna. We met while training together at the airline, and even then she stood out—quirky, original, and always seeing the world from a unique angle. She had a flair for French fashion and carried herself with unmistakable style and grace.

Krystyna had a generous, loving heart and a way of putting a smile on your face, no matter the circumstances. She gave her love freely—especially to animals. I’ll never forget her feeding stray cats in Rome or São Paulo or where ever her travels took her with leftover meals or treats she bought just for them.

She was deeply devoted to her husband Walter, speaking of him with such warmth that even those who never met him felt like they had.

The last time I saw her, she was struggling to walk but still made the effort to meet me. That was Krystyna—strong, kind, and full of heart until the end.

She was truly one of a kind, and I will miss her deeply.

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Krystyna. We were in the same Flight Attendant training class back in 1975 with Nordair. She lived an interesting life flying all over the world. Always very pleasant, Krystyna was so kind and generous. I remember how devoted she was to her Aunt in Paris. She will be missed. My sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.
She is flying with the Angels now. Rest In Peace Kiki 🙏 🕯❤
