In Celebration of

Klara Kemper

June 25, 1926 -  May 9, 2020

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Klara Lina Kemper age 93 in Mississauga, Ontario on May 9th, 2020. Klara came to Canada from Germany in 1955 to marry the love of her life; Theodore Rudolph Kemper (predeceased her in 1997). Klara was always ready to entertain with a tune from her mouth harmonica, a tale from her childhood or a story about her many travels. Klara would love to crochet and gift her creations to children of all ages, her payment: a smile.

Klara was a cherished mother to Barbara Kemper, Brigitte Hanson, Isabel Kemper and Ted Kemper. Dear Mother-in-law to Hartwick Hanson, and Laura Kemper. Adored Oma of Marie-Claire Prenevost, Ben Hanson, Joe Hanson, Michael Prenevost, Emma Riley Kemper and Hailey Kemper.

Her light will be missed.

Please feel free to share your fond memories in the guest book - the family would love to hear your stories.
Due to Covid restrictions a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date .

To Isabel and your siblings. It’s never easy to lose your mom. Mom’s have a very special place in our hearts. They live on forever. I’m glad to see she lived a good long life and was comforted unconditionally at the end. May she rest in piece.

In loving memory of the greatest story teller.
I can remember each and every story, from the French soldiers to the mountain gorillas. Oma has always fascinated me with all her stories and how interesting her life was.
One of my favorite stories she told was about the world's smallest harmonica. Even though I had heard it 100 times, it never got old. I loved how each time she told the story she would pull out this tiny harmonica no bigger than two inches and then start to play. How she did it, I had no idea but, her talent still amazes me.
As a child I remember loving going to see my Oma. It would mean endless amounts of raspberries and liverwurst and cream cheese sandwiches I could never get enough. I always left my Oma's happy and full. Everytime I eat a raspberry it always reminds me of her and the happiness she spread to others throughout her life, whether it was through volunteer work or knitting booboo bunny's and minions for the children. She always had some form of creativity to bring a smile to anyone's face. That was one of her many gifts.
I'll miss my Oma deeply, she will always hold a place in my heart.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Mrs Keeper's passing. I met her a few times and I always enjoyed listening to her playing on her harmonica. My daughters never met Mrs Kemper but they will continue to cherish the finger puppets she made for them. Thinking of all of you during this difficult time
