With sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Ken just short of his 100th birthday on February 18, 2023. Ken will be reunited with his true love Jean who predeceased him in March of 2000. He is also predeceased by his brother Bill and sisters Betty and Joan.

Ken is survived by his 4 children Jeffrey (Cherie), Mike (Jeannie), Chris (Nancy) and his daughter Joanne. Ken is the loving grandfather and mentor to 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Ken served in the RCAF during WWII as an air force trainer. After which he held a number of senior positions over the years with a number of trailer manufacturers Freuhauf, International, Hawker Siddley - Can Car, Hi-Way Trailers, Thorncrest Ford, and Roadmaster. Then in 1982 at the age 55 he founded K.I.D.Truck and Trailer Sales in Oakville with his wife Jean and two sons Mike and Chris at his side.

Ken was well known throughout the Canadian Truck and Trailer industry and was a longtime member of the Ontario Trucking Association (OTA). He was a former member of Kiwanis and gave several years of his time to managing a very successful midget AA GTA and Ontario minor hockey team.

He worked daily until he was well into his 90's selling various trailers all across Canada and guiding his business K.I.D. which is now run by Mike and Chris.

Ken will be remembered as a special husband, dad, grandfather and friend to all who knew him and was loved and respected.

It is with a very sad heart to hear of Uncle Ken’s passing. Uncle Ken was such a gentle, kind, loving man. I dearly respected him. The last of the dear six friends. I pray you will be with all six again
Last time I visited Uncle Ken, at his retirement home, he said to me “. Michelle I just don’t know why l lived so long” you almost made 100!!
We talked about so many family memories and incidences in his youth and joining the RCAF with my Dad and Uncle Jim. Uncle Ken was a true family man , loved and cared for us all deeply. “ The Rock of the family”.
My condolences to all of the Dwytie family I am so sorry I can’t be with you on the 18th. I Will celebrate Uncle Ken’s life in Texas
Lots of Love and Hugs. Michelle Leschak❤️🙏
