In Celebration of

Kenneth George Vesey

January 9, 1942 -  March 15, 2023

Ken passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at the age of 81.

Ken was predeceased by his life partner Annette Lewthwaite and his parents, George and Eva Vesey.

Ken will be fondly remembered by his friends Carol Georgieff and Aldo Conte, as well as many extended family members and friends. Ken will always be known for his kind heart, his humour, warm personality and willingness to help others.

Flying has been a very important part of his life beginning with flying model airplanes with his Dad as a kid, to earning his solo pilot license in 1978 and then owning his beloved plane ‘Dusty’. Ken was an avid skier for many years and became a member of the Ski Patrol team in the Collingwood area. Many memories and friendships were made at the Brampton Flying Club, the Ski Club, at the cottage on Eugenia Lake and in his neighbourhood. He spent the majority of his working life in the Facilities Division of General Electric and Ericsson Canada.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 10-11am. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11am. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favourite charity.

Dear Carol and Family

I was so shocked to hear that Ken passed away so suddenly. I just saw him at the end of February at the Among Friends' monthly dinner at the Canadiana dinner.

Ken was a very friendly, quiet, and kind man. I enjoyed talking with him at our events.

I met Ken when I came into Among Friends in 2004 or whenever he became a member. I will miss him so much.

May you know that my love, prayers, sympathies and thoughts are with you all.

Love Jennifer

WE ARE SO VERY BLESSED TO HAVE BEEN A PART OF KEN'S LIFE. IF YOU ARE ONE OF THE LUCY PEOPLE, WHO WERE BLESSED TO HAVE KNOWN HIM, YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE EMPTINESS, THAT WE WILL ALL FEEL, TO HAVE LOST HIM. HIS SMILE AND LAUGHTER WERE THE BEST. HEAVEN HAS GAINED AN AMAZING ANGEL. RIP KEN.
