In Celebration of

Ken Thomson

October 4, 1937 -  March 12, 2021

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Ken Thomson, peacefully on March 12, 2021, at Credit Valley Hospital, at the age of 83. He will be forever remembered and loved by his wife of 59 years, Joyce, and their children Randy (Janet), Gary (Sherri), and Tracey. He was a cherished Poppa to his seven grandchildren Ashlee, Brendan, Jeff, Brittany, Melissa, Kaitlyn, and Ben, as well as his five great-grandchildren Hendrix, Nixon, Maxx, Eli, and Addison. He is survived by his brother Ron and predeceased by his sister Pat. Ken’s easy-going manner, his loyalty, his generosity, and his friendship was treasured by many and he will be greatly missed.

Following his wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Please smile and raise your glass when you think of Ken (‘Mr. T.’). He will be raising his glass of Courvoisier, his “nectar of the Gods” with a smile and appreciation for a good life, a loving family, and the fantastic friends he met along the way.

We will miss our next door neighbour of 55 years, Ken Thomson. Our families grew up together and we could not have asked for nicer people to be our neighbours and friends. Ken was always there for us if we needed help around our property or for any other reason.
He fought a good fight and now can rest in peace. It has not quite sunk in yet that he is no longer with us but we will treasure all the great memories as his passing becomes a sad reality. Rest in peace dear friend. Our family will always treasure your great friendship.

Mr T was a good friend to me and always had a smile and a good word when we met at our watering hole at coopers. He will be missed by all of us. Cheers to you my friend.

After all these years if things go back to normal it will not be the same going to the club without Ken at the head of the table. He will be missed by all.
