In Celebration of

Kazimiera Koziol

March 26, 1932 -  October 26, 2020

It is with sadness and grief that we announce the death of our mother, Kazimiera Koziol (nee Musiatowicz).

She passed away peacefully on Monday October 26, 2020 at St Joseph’s Health Centre, at the age of 88. She was the beloved wife of her late husband Victor and the adored mother of her two sons, Marius and Eric and daughter-in-law Fiona.

She was born on March 26, 1932 in Poland, she lived and survived all those troublesome times there (both WW II and communism) before arriving in Canada in 1959, and soon after she married and gave birth to two boys.

Soon after the birth of her second son, her husband suffered a serious stroke, and was hospitalized until his death.

She embraced her new life in Canada and also kept close ties to the Polish community here. She was a remarkable woman with an endless list of traits and deeds that were done for all of us. She especially loved her gardening, spending numerous hours planting flowers and vegetables and just soaking in the sun.

All of her life she worked very hard for her children, and now it is time for her to rest. We thank you Mom, and we love you with all of our hearts.

We would like to thank all those who have shown love to her all these years and also those who prayed for her.

In keeping with current guidelines, the family will hold viewing on Thursday October 29 and the Mass/ burial on Friday, the 30th.

She was a remarkably hard working immigrant woman, in essence a single mother who brought up her kids to be caring and loving people . She has left a valuable legacy of love and compassion.

After a long arduous journey on this earth , may she Rest In Peace . Good job Eric and Marius . May the memories of your Mum comfort and keep you warm in the cold dark days of grief ahead.

My condolences to family and close friends of Mrs. Koziol. The world lost another pillar from that great generation that worked hard, raised their families and endured difficulties without complaint. Rest in peace.
