In Celebration of

Kay Isobel Kereliuk (née Gammie)

January 30, 1960 -  February 16, 2021

It is with an immense sadness, heartbroken, that we announce the passing of Kay Isobel Kereliuk (née Gammie), peacefully at home surrounded by family, as the snow softly fell in the early morning of February 16th, 2021 at the age of 61.

Born on January 30, 1960, Kay grew up in Hespeler as one of six children to Bob & Jean Gammie (both deceased), and throughout life always delighted in spending time with her large family. She is survived by her husband Dave Kereliuk, whom she married in 1984, and her two children Andrea and Jonathon, whom she loved more than anything. We already all miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by beloved sister Frances (Art), and survived by siblings Doug (Donna), Craig (Wendy), Joan (Dave), and Bruce (Lisa) as well as siblings-in-law Sandy (Earl) and Shelley (Peter). She was an ever-doting aunt to fifteen treasured nieces and nephews: Kevyn, Robert, and Derryn, Lynn and Colleen, Scott and Ellen, Brad and Laura, Kelly, Chris, Katie and Kendra, Cassie, and Jennifer.

Kay will be remembered fondly for her kindness, loyalty, intelligence, and fierce independent streak. She treasured time with her family above all and loved spending summer months with them at the cottage at Sauble Beach. She was artistic and musical, taking time over the years to cultivate her love of fine arts and fill the house with joyful sounds of the piano. An avid reader, Kay kept a great collection of novels and will be fondly remembered by her friends at her book club.

Kay's family would also like to thank the community health nurses that provided calm guidance and considerate care so Kay could stay home with her family in her final few months. It's what she wanted.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure,
You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

At Kay's request, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled for friends and family when it is next safe to do so.
