In Celebration of

Kathleen Gosbee

February 11, 1926 -  April 29, 2019

Kathleen (Kay) passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019 at Sunrise of Mississauga Retirement Residence. Beloved wife of the late Alan (Al) Gosbee, loving mother to Linda and husband Ron, Scott and his late wife Patty, Bruce, Brian and Elaine, Grandma to Larry, Chris and wife Leah, Megan and husband Chris.

Born in Golden, B.C. the youngest of four children, Kay grew up in Richmond, B.C. or what she lovingly referred to as, "Lulu Island". She married Al and they moved to Ontario to forge a new life together. As well as being a busy mother of five, Kay worked alongside her husband, as Secretary Treasurer of their company. They shared a full life together: working, raising a family, volunteering for political campaigns, hosting parties, travelling the globe for business and pleasure, and fishing for ‘specks and greys’ at their beloved Caughnawana.

As a widow, Kay continue to live a rich, fulfilling life. A kind and generous person, she could always be counted on to host lovely dinners and celebrations for family and friends. Kay had a passion for living and threw herself fully into everything she did. Whether it was cooking, running bridge clubs or playing the stock market, Kay took great care and pride whatever she did. She made the most out of every experience and always found some new friends along the way. Kay loved life and her family more. She was happiest surrounded by her children reminiscing and sharing stories. We miss you Mom.

Family and friends may visit Turner & Porter – Peel Chapel, 2180 Hurontario, Mississauga ON L5B 1M8 (one block south of Queensway W) on Monday, May 6, 2019 at 2 pm. A Memorial Service will follow directly after the visitation at 3:00 p.m.
