In Celebration of

Katherine Ann Dragert

November 29, 1940 -  July 12, 2025

Katherine Ann Dragert, child of God, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 12th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and faith. Born on November 29, 1940, Katherine lived a life full of purpose, service, and joy.

Katherine was the beloved mother to Deborah Harding (James) and David Dragert (Christine). She was incredibly proud to be the grandmother of Tyler (Aron) and Melissa, and treasured every moment shared with her family.

Katherine was the older sister of Douglas Kearns (Wendy), and a loving aunt to Brenna and Andrea. She was also a deeply loved great-aunt to Olivia, Hanna, and Jack, each of whom brought her great joy.

A woman of unwavering faith, Katherine was a charter member of St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, where she found community, comfort, and spiritual fulfillment. Her faith was the foundation of her life and guided her through all of life’s seasons.

Katherine was also a dedicated and longtime employee of Air Canada. Her career fueled her passion for adventure—she was a true world traveler, having visited every continent. She found wonder in every corner of the globe, but her heart always found peace in the simple beauty of a sunset at the family cottage.

Katherine’s sense of humor and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in every sunset that paints the sky.

The Visitation will be held at Turner & Porter "Peel Chapel", 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m .

Funeral service will be held at St. Philip’s Lutheran Church, 61 West Deane Park Drive, Etobicoke, on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 11 a.m.

Kathy was the most wonderful lady who I was lucky to count among my favourite volleyball league friends. She was worldly, positive and kind. I loved our many discussions and she was hilariously funny when we put on skits and played games at Sparrow lake. She was a positive influence in my life and I was blessed to have her as a friend. Rest in peace, Kathy and condolences to your family and friends. Say her name, speak her stories and she will forever be with us. Hugs to all, Janette Mitchell
