In Celebration of

Karl Pedersen

October 2, 1930 -  January 22, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karl Jœrn Sole Pedersen in Mississauga on January 22, at the age of 92, after a week-long battle with Covid. Predeceased by his cherished wife of 54 years, Ellen Andersen, he leaves his sons and their spouses David (Francine), Eric (Stephanie), and John (Carolyn), his grandchildren Jessica and Benjamin, and his dear friend Sheila.

Thank you to the ICU staff at Credit Valley Hospital for the care provided during Karl’s final week.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 28th between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM at Turner and Porter’s Neweduk Chapel at 1981 Dundas Street West (just east of Erin Mills Parkway).

A private funeral service will be held and live streamed for extended family and close friends on February 3rd, followed by burial alongside Ellen at Springcreek Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be planned for Spring/Summer 2023.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to KAIROS, ELCIC, Trillium Health Partners Foundation, or Compass Food Bank.

Both of your wonderful parents were so welcoming of our young family when we arrived in Oakville 20 years ago. Their warmth, smiles and kindness kept us coming back to Grace. Karl shared with me over the years his thoughts on social justice and taking care of the community and introduced me to Kairos and Grace House. I learned very much from his wisdom. Doug and I are very sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace and love during this sad time.
