Karl kept a garden
A garden of the heart
He planted seeds of love
Creating works of art

He turned us to the sunshine,
And encouraged us to dream
Fostering and nurturing
the seeds of self-esteem.

And then the winds and rain came
He protected us enough
But not too much, he always knew
We’d stand up strong and tough

His constant good example
Always taught us right from wrong
He handed down his wisdom
For us all to carry on

He always had a project
Loved to sail upon the sea
While his garden of the heart
Bloomed and grew relentlessly

Your promotion into heaven
Seemed too early and so wrong
We will never forget you
Our love, forever strong

No matter, how challenged
No matter, how pained
He remained, so stoic
His courage never waned

Your departure, unexpected
Shook the earth beneath our feet
Our grieving will continue
Not ever quite complete.

We will miss you and always love you!

Is not only blood that a family is made, it is the bonds we create that ties us all together.
We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you again in heaven. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we’ll miss you, until we meet again. ❤️
