In Celebration of

Karen Agnew

July 1, 1955 -  May 6, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Karen Roberta Agnew (nee: Rumak), on Friday May 6th at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 66. Predeceased by her parents William and Mary Rumak. Karen is survived by her only son, Jason.

Karen lived her life to care for others. She is remembered as a loving and devoted daughter, a dependable and caring friend, a lover of cats, and the maker of her signature Rice Krispie treats. But most of all she will be remembered as a wonderful mom.

Family and friends are invited to Turner & Porter "Yorke" Chapel (2357 Bloor St W, Toronto) for visitation on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 from 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will also be held at Turner and Porter “Yorke” Chapel on Wednesday May 11th at 11am with a reception to follow.

Karen is also survived by her two cats Taffy and Callie. In lieu of flowers donations to “Toronto Cat Rescue” can be made in her memory.

Jason, deepest condolences. I worked with your Mom whom I affectionately called Rainbow, (after discovering this to be her Scout leader name). We always had fun and a few laughs when I'd drop off work to her. You were always her Number One!
