Peacefully, at St. Joseph’s Health Centre Toronto, on Monday, August 19, 2019 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Zofia. Loving father of Robert (Debbie), Irene Cake (Gord), Wally (Chris) and Richard (Jackie).
Loving grandfather to Jessica, Tahnee, Maureen, Dane, Michael, William and Matthew. Great grandfather to Alize, Tucker, Andee and Redden. Remembered by Pierog and Palka families.
Friends may call at the Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane Subway, on Thursday from 5 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. I have many memories of Joe going back over 30 years. especially at the many family celebrations and at the cottage.

My dad, Kazik Starkiewicz worked with Jozef on a tabacco farm hauling bails up into trucks as entrance to our beloved Canada on a contract. They kept this friendship over so many years as they settled here in Toronto. Deepest condolences.
