August 24, 1936 - December 26, 2023

Peacefully passed away, with her family by her side, on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Ian Anderson House, at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Frank (2020). Loving mother to Tracy (Michael) Taggart, late Michael (1984), and Andy (Michelle) Wadden. Adored grandmother to Michael, Brooke, Taylor, Dylan, Halle, the late Adam (2023), Jason, Michelle, and Frank, and great-grandmother to Nicholas, Jacius, Aaliyah, and Zaiden.

Friends and family may call at the Turner and Porter Neweduk- Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas Street West, Mississauga on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, from 4 – 8 p.m.

A small service will take place at St Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga.

For those who wish, donations may be made to Ian Anderson House.

My deepest condolences to Joyce's family. I am so sorry for your loss. Joyce was a big part of my life as she was the first person I met when I moved into "her" building in 2009. She very quickly became someone I enjoyed kidding around with and for many years I was the recipient of her homemade gifts of many flavours of fudge. Her devotion to her husband, Frank, always warmed my heart and the stories she would tell me of her teen years, her life with Frank, and her "kids" showed me a life well-lived. I will miss Joyce very much as she had become like a second Mom to me. Her sense of humor and generous heart will always be a huge chapter in my memories. "Our memories that make us cry today, will comfort us tomorrow and in years to come will give us joy". Joyce's life was well lived and is a beautiful legacy.
