Joyce passed away peacefully at the age of 94 at The Wenleigh Long Term Care in Mississauga, on August 6, 2021. Beloved and cherished wife for 67 years of the late Burton (d.2017). Loving devoted and caring mother of Glen. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Agnes Long.
Joyce was born in the Junction area of west Toronto and was educated at Oakwood Collegiate Institute. She worked at the old City Hall in Toronto where she met Burton, a Canadian army veteran, they were married on June 17, 1950 and welcomed their son, Glen four years later.
Joyce was a lifelong caring and loving family woman who touched many lives with her great sense of humour, gentle demeanor and infectious personality. She will be greatly missed by everyone, Rest in Peace. Special thanks for the kindness and care shown by the staff at the Wenleigh.
