It is with great love and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Josephine Stasyshyn at the age of 96, on Sunday August 18, 2024, at Mount Sinai hospital.

Beloved wife of her late husband Mykola. She will lovingly be remembered by her children Irene and Bohdan, her grandchildren Samantha and Jessica and her great-grandchildren Zachary and Ava. She is now reunited with her twin sister Pelahia. She will be deeply missed by her brother Victor, her sister Stefania, her friends and everyone who adoringly called her Ciocia Juzia both in Canada and Poland.

She was strong willed and despite enduring numerous hardships, she always overcame them, never losing her spark. We will remember her love of dancing and singing to Ukrainian music, tending to her beautiful garden, her delicious soup and baking her infamous orange cake. Her family and friends will forever hold fond memories of her energetic and passionate spirit, her laughter and her love of life.

Friends may call Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel (2357 Bloor Street West) Thursday from 6-8 pm, Panachyda at 7:30 pm . Chapel Service to be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 1pm. Interment to follow at Park Lawn Cemetery.
