In Celebration of

Joseph Pelaia

December 31, 1947 -  June 23, 2025

It is with profound sadness and immense love that the family of Giuseppe “Joe” Pelaia announce his passing on June 23, 2025, at the age of 77.

Joe was the beloved husband of Rosanne Pelaia, and devoted father to Ryan (Rhonda), Nicole, and Christopher (Sydney). He will also be deeply missed by his brother Sebastian (Kathy), and sisters, Grace, and Tina (Steven), as well as his nieces and nephews, dear friends and neighbours, and his treasured dog, Chloe.

Born in Calabria, Italy, Joe immigrated to Canada at the age of 8. He was a constant source of strength and a guiding light for his family as they established their new life in Toronto. From a young age, Joe had a vibrant and entrepreneurial spirit. He started some successful businesses throughout his lifetime, but most of all, Joe dedicated his life to his family. He was and continues to be a source of strength, warmth, and wisdom to all who knew him. No matter the circumstances, Joe would do anything for the people he loved. He will be missed forever.

Those who wish to honour Joe’s life may do so by sending flowers or making a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I express my deepest sympathy in this time of grief. The Bible promises that your loved one will soon come to life again on a beautiful paradise earth when death will be no more in John 5:28, 29.
