Josef Polczer

January 15, 1940 -  January 1, 2019

Josef passed away at Trillium Hospital on January 1, 2019 at the age of 78 years, after a long bout of illness.
He is survived by his dear wife of 22 years, Marilou. Predeceased by his son, Ben and daughter, Samantha. Survived by his daughter, Claudia, son - in law , Robert and grandchildren, Ben and Claudia.

Known to most as "Joe", the Volkswagen guy. He was born on January 15, 1940 in Felsocsatar, Hungary to the late Ferenc and Aranka. Predeceased by his brother, Istvan and sister in law, Eszter, his late sister, Ilonka and late brother in law, Vilmos.

Survived by his nephews, Emil and wife Szilvia, and grandnephews, Balint and wife, Nikolleta. and grandniece, Szilvia . His nephew, Jozsef, his wife, Timea and children, David and Petra.
Predeceased by his nephew, Marton, who is survived by his wife, Angela, and sons ,Gabor and Peter.

He moved to Canada in June 1968 together with his friend John Toth. He went on to build his business, LAKESHORE AUTO COLLISION, and was there for 42 years, eventually retiring on February 2016. Joe loved sports, especially, soccer,downhill skiing till he was 72. He loved to go boating , sea-dooing and snowmobiling at the cottage. Joe was a very energetic man and he was known for his skillful driving.

Joe traveled a lot after his retirement with his dear wife, Marilou and sister in law Mary Ann. He visited Hungary a few times and
had been to Europe and loved Florida . His love for travel did not stop him and his wife, even though he was in a wheelchair.
Joe has touched so many lives in his lifetime in a positive way. His family is thankful to have enjoyed many wonderful moments with him.
Remembering the good man that he is, he will be forever in our hearts.

I will always remember Joe as the energetic and happy man who loved my high school best friend Malou so much. Our friendship will last forever even after we leave this world, Joe.
