Born on April 18 1932 in Furnas Sao Miguel Acores Portugal, Jose passed away peacefully at home on November 8 2024 at the age of 92. Jose Ferro Vieira succumbed to cancer in the arms of his daughters Ivone and Cindy.

He is survived by his beloved sister Natalia. Jose joins in heaven the love of his life, his wife Maria de Lourdes, granddaughter Sonya, his brother Daniel and other beloved family. He leaves behind his loving 3 children Ivone, Cindy and John their spouses Tony and Yvette, and 4 loving grandchildren Olivia, Hannah, Sophia and Elias.

In 1964, Jose, wife and their 2 young daughters immigrated to Canada seeking a better opportunity and brighter future for his family. He was known for his warmth and openness. Jose was a friend to many and found joy in the simplest parts of life. He had a rich imagination and loved crafting and creating things, he was always finding ways to bring his ideas to life. He cared little for material things, finding true happiness in the green pastors of his homeland, where he tended to his animals that he so dearly loved, and the joy he found in music.

Jose will be remembered for his kindness, his gentle spirit and the love he shared with everyone he met, always "my friend, my friend"! We love you papa!

His celebration to life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (Streetsville), 5440 Durie Rd., Mississauga, ON, L5M 2J5 on Monday November 11, 2024 at 11am.
