In Celebration of

John "Jon" Solski

June 23, 1976 -  January 21, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of John “Jon” Solski on Saturday January 21st, 2023. Beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Jon was survived by his parents Roman and Alicja, brother Krys, sister-in-law Ewelina, Aunt Halina Czuk (late husband Adolek), Cousin Stephanie Czuk and her husband Dean. In Poland, his uncle Mietek Muszynski, his wife Barbara, cousins Agnieszka, Monika and Kamil and their families, as well as extended family in Poland and the US. At 46 years of age, he unexpectedly left us much too early.

Jon was born in Poland on June 23rd, 1976. He immigrated with his family to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in late 1981. Raised in Toronto, he always had an adventurous side, willing to try new things and explore new places. He shared a love for music throughout his life. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, celebrating many special occasions. Family birthdays, road trips to the US, picnics as well as strawberry and apple picking were enjoyed in his early years. Jon was always there to give a helping hand to anyone in need and never asked for anything in return. His smile was infectious. He loved the outdoors, nature and animals, especially his cat Louie. Jon was a proud employee of Napoleon, where he worked for over 5 years and made many life-long friends. There are many memories in Jon’s life that we all have and would love to share.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation which will be held at Turner & Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor Street West, Toronto M6S 1P4 on Sunday January 29th, 2023 from 5-9 p.m. Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Toronto on Monday, January 30th at 11:00 a.m. For those who cannot attend the mass in person, they can watch a live stream from St. Stanislaus Kostka Church website. Following the funeral mass, he will be laid to rest at Park Lawn Mausoleum.

Jon loved many things. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to a charity of your choosing in Jon’s memory.
