John Rudolph Karner

March 29, 1933 -  December 4, 2023


Passed away peacefully at Cooksville Care Centre on December 4, 2023.

Predeceased by his parents John and Anna. Loving brother of Bill and Ann. Lovingly remembered by his godchildren and many friends.

John lived a full life. After high school, he worked at the Bradford Fish Company, eventually becoming co-owner. Upon retirement at age 44, John enjoyed baking, fishing, gardening, birding and traveling the world. He enjoyed supervising school excursions with Ann’s classes and helped to build set designs for Bill’s high school productions. Many thanks to the care and office staff of John’s residence for their excellent treatment of John.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (Hwy 10 N. of Q.E.W) on Monday, December 11, 2023 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Parish, 921 Flagship Drive, Mississauga on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11 a.m.

Interment at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Mississauga.

For those who wish, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
