It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather on December 6, 2024 in his 92nd year at Wellbrook Place, Mississauga.

Born in Windsor, Ontario, he was the son of the late John and Anna Vardzel (nee Yuricek). John was predeceased by his wife of 66 years - Mary in March 2024. Loving father of Rick (Ann), Bob (Samantha) and Katherine. Proud grandfather of Stephanie (Justin) and Bryan; Doting great grandpa of Eleanor and Elizabeth and the late Abigail. Dear brother to Anna Mae Parent and the late Margaret McLean.

John enjoyed a lengthy career with Mettler Toledo, designing and selling precision measurement solutions. In retirement he transitioned to the Oakville Family Golf Centre where he enjoyed everything golf and interacting with people. John’s passions included woodworking and golf. He prided himself in making cabinets and wooden toys. He looked forward to annual golf trips with the Men with Clubs and hosting his grandchildren at summer golf camp. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching golf, baseball and hockey. In latter years he immersed himself in audible books.
