It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of John Paul Pacheco. On Saturday, May 4, 2024, he passed away in the presence and loving arms of family. We are heartbroken by his sudden departure but find solace in knowing he is now at peace.
At the age of 44, John was taken from us too soon. He had a beautiful mind, beautiful heart and amazing presence. Always considerate, patient, compassionate, thoughtful and kind. He was loving, giving and loyal to a fault and, without exception, he put others first and loved so completely and absolutely. He cherished spending time with family and friends and looked forward to family gatherings.
He had an endearing smile and, though quiet, he was incredibly intelligent, insightful, and had a great sense of humour. He excelled in school, pursued a degree in Computer Science, and tutored others in Mathematics. He loved going to the cottage, classic cars, hockey and sledge hockey, which he played recreationally for 10 years, and shared his passions and love for life with others.
Throughout his life he struggled with Muscular Dystrophy and the barriers it presented. Time and time again, he overcame incredible obstacles and persevered through impossible challenges but never let his disability define him. Over the past few years, his health faltered but his strength and determination never did.
With heavy hearts we say goodbye. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His presence, love and laughter will forever be remembered.
REFLECTIONS
I rejoice in the life you lived,
Grateful for having shared it with you.
And was loved by you.
We shared so much, cared so much,
So many memorable times...
We've been through so much together.
How much sadder it would have been
If I'd never known you at all.
Even though you are gone,
You always be a part of me.
For you have left me so rich
With a "Precious Legacy of Memories"
