We had many many days of good laughs, so will miss him very much. sincerely Margaret Clark
Dear Dave, Bev and Sam
It is with heavy heart we hear this very sad news.
John was a very loving and caring Papa to his adored Samantha and his admiration for my sister Bev , and John and Shirley's son Dave who I know will miss him immensely.
God Bless and Praying you all find the strength and comfort knowing John is now in the loving arms of his wife Shirley.
Lovingly ,
Doug & Margie
My Mom passed last Sunday so I just came across John's obituary.
I worked at West Park and retired in 2018. During my 10 years at West Park I had many chats with John.
He was so entertaining!! He shared his Mentos with me and I was honoured on one occasion to be included in the fish and chips luncheon.
I vividly remember him wearing his uniform and medals with pride on Remembrance Day. At one point he thought he had lost his medals and we all started searching for them. Luckily when they fell off they caught on his rolator so he found them later that day.
I am saddened to hear that he has passed by realize that he is now free of all of his ailments and is happy and healthy again.
My condolences to his family.
Bye Big John!
David........so very sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad.
I knew your Mom & Dad way back when Bill & I got married in '67 and sometime after that you were a bump in Shirley's tummy. We lost touch after Bill & I split in '76 & I regret that.............your Mom & Dad were both good people.
A funny story for you.......shortly after Bill & I married we bought a Hoover Spin Dryer Washing Machine and I was so proud of it when your Dad came to visit I was showing it off........ the hose slipped off the kitchen tap & sprayed everywhere including soaking your Dad........needless to say he wasn't impressed. Good times!
Cherish your memories.........knowing John there are lots of them. Hugs
David, I am so very sorry to hear about your father. Your father and I would have wonderful visits every 2 weeks for years. My name is Tena. I was the employee of Molly Maid that would clean your father’s place for years before I moved up to North Bay. I didn’t realize that the last time I would see him would be two weeks before he passed away. I’ve been trying to find out what happened to him, as he wasn’t answering his phone, The last he told me was he was moving into Chartwell. So I phoned Chartwell and they said they did not have a resident there by that name. I knew then what had happened. Your father was a gem, I will miss him.
