Waiting for You

When I must leave you for a little while
Please do not grieve and shed wild tears
And hug your sorrow
to you through the years
But start out bravely with a gallant smile;
And for my sake and in my name live on
and do all things the same,
Feed not your loneliness on empty days,
But fill each waking hour in useful ways,
Reach out your hand in
comfort and in cheer
And I in turn will comfort you
and hold you near,
And never, never be afraid to die,
For I am waiting for you in the sky!

You will be sadly missed by all the lives you have touched.

Forever in our Hearts.

You were the greatest husband and father in the world. You were my best friend, my biggest support, my saviour ... you were my hero, dad. Life will never be the same without you ... I will love you forever and think of you each minute of every day. You were our strength, our rock and you always kept us moving forward. I just cannot believe you are gone and now I have to live the rest of my life without you and mom. I love you so much dad. I hope you are with mom now as you belong togehter.

Dear Janice, John and families, please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your beloved dad and grandfather. Dear Mom, Aunt Barb and Aunt Susie, I’m so sorry for the loss of your Big Brother.
Uncle Johnny was so kind, genuine and loving. I have so many fond memories of him. When I was young, he sometimes called me ‘Sasundini’ so I thought that was my ‘Italian name’ and I would proudly tell all of my friends that my Uncle was teaching me how to speak Italian!
Family get togethers were always something to look forward to for many reasons, but maybe the most exciting part was knowing there would be a big pot of Uncle Johnny’s meatballs simmering away and filling the house with that wonderful aroma - and they were as good as Grandpa’s :)
I will love and miss him forever ❤️

Dear Janice and John and the Dortona Family,
My deepest condolences to you all. This is such a sad time to say goodbye to your dear Dad. This has been a heartbreaking year.
I have such wonderful memories of sitting in your parents kitchen and talking for hours.
They always made me feel so welcome, as Linda and I became special friends.
My Dad, Paul Sciberras lived with The Dortona family when he immigrated from Malta....Dad felt so welcomed and John was like a brother to my Dad.
I remember hearing many stories of how they teased my Dad- being new to Canada!
You have a beautiful and kind family.

Wishing you much PEACE in your heart- knowing you had the best parents and may they be reunited again.
With much Love,
Rosemarie Schoutsen ( Sciberras )

My dad would always tell us that he would walk thru fire for his family --- these were not just words. My dad was the best father. He would do anything for his children, grandchildren, sisters and parents. I remember my dad telling me the story of how when he was 10 years old he would get picked up in the morning to go work on farms picking worms. His mom would make him a tomato sandwich which would sit out in the sun all day and get soggy. But his mom made it with love and to him that was the best sandwich ..to his dying day my dad loved tomato sandwiches. My dad would come home from the farm and give his mom the money he earned and each time she would cry. My dad's family had in love what they lacked in money -- they had each other. It made him a great man who had great love in his heart. My dad was so very proud of his Italian heritage he taught himself Italian. My mom and dad were married 65 years and they loved and adored each other. In fact, my mom passed away in January and whenever my dad heard a women's voice that sounded like mom's he would try to get to her and be calling her name. My dad is with my mom now --- he always wanted to be by her side. Even with dimentia he never stopped knowing who his family was. I will love him with my heart forever. I will miss him every single moment of my life. He was my best friend, my saviour, my hero -- I was blessed to have him as my dad. I love you dad.
