In Celebration of

John David Victor Keown

June 2, 1942 -  July 30, 2021

Passed away Friday, July 30, 2021 at the age of 79, after a brief illness. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years Judy, daughters Sharon (Nick), Janet (Ian) and their sons Dylan and Eric. He will also be greatly missed by brother-in-law Tom, sisters-in-law Kate and Lizz, and nieces Cathy, Maggie, Kelly, Amy, Caitlin, Victoria, and their families. John is predeceased by his sister Lynda.

While John had a passion for finance, he was happiest sharing quality time with his family and long-time friends. He was also actively involved with Trinity Anglican Church, Streetsville.
John was devoted to his family, and especially to his wife Judy. They spent more than 55 years supporting each other in true partnership.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at Credit Valley Hospital for their care and compassion in John’s final month.

A private funeral will be held. In keeping with John's community spirit, the family requests donations to be made to your local food bank in lieu of flowers.

We shall remember fondly the many enthusiastically played hands of bridge, along with equally spirited political observations. Sincerity and honesty were hallmark qualities of John. Being able to share some social time with John was always treasured times. John was a good man who loved his wife Judy, his family, his friends and life. The compassion and caring which he felt for others were expressed in action, not just words. We will miss John deeply, but we will never forget him.
