In Celebration of

John Charles Dalton

November 16, 1940 -  December 5, 2023

Surrounded by the love of God and his family (Jill, Sandra, Mike, Jennifer (Chris) and Matthew), as well as many friends in Canada and the UK, John passed away after a long and happy life.

Predeceased by parents John and “Nina” Dalton, and siblings Joan Dowler and Roger Dalton. Survived by brother Lawrence Dalton.

John worked for several companies in the UK and Canada, culminating in his position as Director of Benefits for Parmalat Canada, and founding his successful pension & benefits consulting firm; Tardis.

He was a faithful and dedicated member of the Anglican community. In his “retirement”, he remained active, volunteering as both Treasurer and Warden for his local church, and also serving as President for his condo board.

John was a man of remarkable depth and unwavering dedication. Known for his dry sense of humour, and sharp wit. He took pleasure in the finer things in life, especially vintage wine whilst cruising the world.

Raising a glass is the yeast we can do to celebrate the life of this extraordinary man who lived up to grape expectations.

Everyone is invited to an upbeat (no somber clothing or music) celebration of John’s life at All Saints Kingsway Anglican Church, 2850 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke, ON M8X 1B2 on Saturday, January 27th at 2pm.

There is a small parking lot beside the church and paid parking is available on side streets.

It will be a short church service followed by appetizers and drinks in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to All Saints Kingsway would be much appreciated.

Cremation with a private family service has already taken place.
