In Celebration of

John Andrew Creighton

May 7, 1951 -  April 20, 2025

Passed away suddenly on Sunday April 20, 2025 at Toronto General Hospital. Soulmate, husband, best friend and better half to his wife Angie. Devoted father to his children David (Marisa), Debi (Tyler), Janice (Mike) and Doug. His six grandchildren: Ben, Oliver, Lily, Ramona, Maggie and Lucy will miss playing with their Dedo. John had too many friends to list, but you know who you are.

He lived life to the fullest and loved a good party. John used his mechanical engineering degree to the fullest and was able to fix anything if he stared at it long enough. He was also an excellent carpenter and made most of the furniture in the family home. He played hockey twice a week in two different leagues. One with the pros that he said were way too fast and one with over the hill players that he could SOMEWHAT keep up with. He, also, loved to ride his bike and would go out for long adventures at the cottage. Of course, the cottage was his second life and he managed to take it from one floor to three so all the kids and grandchildren had their own space. The whole family cannot imagine what life will be like without him.

Friends may call at the Turner & Porter 'Peel' Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga (one block north of QEW) on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 from 6-9 p.m. A Celebration of John's life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.

In memory of John, donations in his name can be made to the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at the University Health Centre.

A good man, who helped us travel. The furniture was very impressive!

I enjoyed working with John and playing hockey with him at the Greenfield Global events. One summer, John generously invited my family to stay a night at his cottage. During the stay, my young daughter overcame her fear and ran off the end of the dock jumping into the lake. I'll always cherish that memory that John helped to create.

John was full of life and was always excited about whatever his is working on. He will be missed and my deepest condolences to John's family during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear about the passing of John. John was instrumental in getting natural gas to our site in Tiverton and the steam supply agreement we have. John was a great promoter of our Tiverton site; he always looked at the positives and had a vision to the future. I always enjoyed playing hockey with John at our annual company tournament, and I know he loved to play hockey and socialize with everyone as well.
Our condolences to the family.
