In Celebration of

John Abols

June 23, 1934 -  February 4, 2020

Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the age 85 with family by his side. Loving husband of the late Valentina (nee Skrinda) and father of Sylvia (Orest), Ingrid (Eugenio), the late John, and Andrew (Monika). Loving Papa of Alex, Melissa, Sara, Lauren, Leah and Emily.

John was a talented project manager who worked on many world-class developments like Battery Park in New York City, Canary Wharf in London, England and The Petronas Twin Towers in Kuala Lampur. John was passionate about spending time at the cottage and working in his garden. But most of all he loved the time spent with his family, especially his 6 grandchildren.

Heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Trillium 4D who gave compassionate care to our family.

Friends may call at the Turner and Porter “Peel” Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St., Mississauga on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 11 a.m.

A private interment will take place at a later date. In memory of John, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Peel or SickKids Foundation.

Online condolences may be made at www.turnerporter.ca

We're very sorry for your loss. John gave me my break into the field of Architecture, and I have tried to live up to his leadership every day. He will be missed.

I met John a handful of times and always enjoyed listening to the stories of when he worked in Malaysia building the Petronas towers. I had the opportunity to visit then in 2015 as well! My condolences go out to the family. He will be dearly missed. JS
